The Reason Why Ducatus Will Become a Market Leader – An Interview with Mario Hintermayer

It is not easy to understand why many people are sceptical, even cynical, about cryptocurrencies. For all the virtues that Satoshi Nakamoto espouses about a truly liberating peer-to-peer cash system, the arguments on why the idea is detrimental to ordinary folks seem to be endless. The truth is, even while the value of some of the major cryptocurrencies are going down lately, this pales in comparison, as for generations, there have been a constant devaluation of FIAT currencies. From a purely logical point of view, the argument should already end right there. But when it comes to cryptocurrencies, at least in these times, emotion usually trumps logic. And that is where our mission to educate becomes more apparent.

The Reason Why Ducatus Will Become a Market Leader - An Interview with Mario HintermayerWe recently caught up with Mario Hintermayer, COO of Ducatus Global and Head of Ducatus Charity. Born into a family of entrepreneurs, he has always been self-employed and spent most of his life building network marketing structures. He now brings these experiences into the Ducatus Group. In this interview, Mario shares his thoughts on the prevailing mood of the market when it comes to blockchain and cryptocurrencies, the relevance of charity work in the Ducatus ecosystem, and why Ducatus will join the ranks of Google and Amazon as market leaders in a few years’ time.

Please give us an overview of your current role at Ducatus?

Mario Hintermayer: My job is mainly to coordinate the European business, especially in relation to subsidiary companies of Ducatus Global, which is very important as it has direct benefit and correlation to the success of Ducatus Coins.

From my past experience, products for the health of body and mind have a high priority in my scope of activity. But my passion really lies in the implementation of social projects, which I’ve been doing for many years now. That’s why in Ducatus, I look after Ducatus Charity as well as the DC Lion’s Heart Foundation.

What do you think is the relevance of having a charitable cause for a company like Ducatus?

My personal philosophy is: those of us who are doing well should take responsibility for people who have less to do in life. It doesn’t stop with just donating money and hoping that they will do the right thing with that money. More importantly, for Ducatus, it is about understanding our responsibility and supporting our own regional projects as these are the projects that we are most emotionally invested in. The potential is huge. We do not only help financially, but we also help people take responsibility to take care of themselves.

Please talk to us about the 3 most significant charity projects of Ducatus today.

Mario Hintermayer: At Ducatus Charity, we have a clear distinction in terms of supporting international active institutions (some of which, I have been supporting since 2001) and regional projects supported by the Charity accounts of our business partners. In order to handle everything in a legal, transparent and prudent manner, we use DC Lions Heart Foundation, which provides us with legal security. This is crucial as we treat all projects, big or small, equally important.

For people who need our support, their challenge is always big. Many small regional projects often fail to raise money – and that’s the area where we can help. In the future, there will be Ducatus Charity projects which earn money by themselves, which will be critical to help support their social work.

Mario Hintermayer, Ducatus COO

You’ve been in the crypto industry for quite some time now. What is your general observation of people’s attitude towards crypto?

Mario Hintermayer: We are still at the very early phase of this so-called ‘revolution’. Most people are not yet familiar with it so they treat it with a lot of scepticism. This is where good education comes in. For most people, ‘cryptocurrency’ per se does not matter at all. What they’re most concerned about really is their future and financial security.

What are the common concerns of Ducatus network members?

Mario Hintermayer: Most partners simply want a steady increase in the value of cryptocurrencies, Ducatus coin in particular. But what we often forget is that, for generations, there have been a constant devaluation of FIAT currencies. We need to do a lot of education to add value into the currency and that is only possible when real benefits have been created. It takes time. But we will get there. We are probably the only, and the first in the field to build real businesses in various industries – what we refer to as ‘crypto economy’ – using purely cryptocurrencies. Companies like Google and Amazon have also started very small but now, they are undisputed market leaders. In a few years, we will also see DUCATUS joining the ranks of market leaders.

Ducatus’ main mission is to transform the global financial landscape through crypto economy. From your point of view, what would you consider are the key steps to turn this into reality?

Mario Hintermayer: I see it rather differently. The entire financial system is undergoing transformation at the moment and we are a small part of this transformation. But we bring the benefits to the business sector that many might have missed with the current products. We see ourselves as a strong partner for companies, governments and institutions that are interested in the benefits of blockchain technology. This is what will make us successful in the long term.

There are a lot of negative impressions about cryptocurrencies in general. What would you say to those people who think negatively of cryptocurrencies?

Mario Hintermayer: They are free to think whatever they want. Our job is not to influence people’s opinions. We see ourselves as ambassadors, but not as missionaries.

How do you see Ducatus evolving in the next 3-5 years?

Mario Hintermayer: If we do a good job, the market will reward us. We will see the result. We have set ourselves big goals that will benefit many people. If we deliver what we promised, they will pay us well.
